Hi, I'm Samantha, but most people call me Sam. I grew up in Vicksburg Michigan where my love for photography began. I moved to Savannah Georgia to pursue my dream and study at Savannah College of Art and Design. After Graduating in 2013 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Phototgraphy I re-located to Bluffton, South Carolina to work for Memory Lane Portraits as a Staff Photographer. Within 6 months I was promoted to Manager, which is my current position with the company. Through working for Memory Lane I have learned the tricks of the trade from Master Photographer Stephen Dey. Photography has always been my first career choice as it allows me to express myself though the photographs I take. I am passionate about family and food. It is no wonder that those two areas are my favorite things to photograph. Growing up in a large family in Southwest Michigan was such a fun thing to experience. There was always something to do, tons of people around, and many memories to be made. Lets not forget about the food, I started in the Food industry when I was 15, working at Big Dipper in Schoolcraft, in my college days I stepped it up and worked for The Radisson Kalamazoo where I catered events and weddings, which is where my love for food began. I see it as an art form now, not only does it taste amazing but I started to notice the construction of the food on the plate and how that enhanced the meal.
